چکیده

Normal human tissues and various human tumors were surveyed by immunohistochemical techniques for expression of the stage-specif ic embryonic antigen 1 (SSEA-1). The ant ibody reacted with many normal and neoplastic human tissues. In most instances, equivalent human and mouse tissues expressed SSEA-1 ; however, dif ferent t issue localization patterns were sometimes seen between these two species. Most SSEA1-positive tumors originate from tissues that normal ly expressed this ant igen; however, some breast and ovarian tumors are SSEA-1 positive, and these organs are SSEA-1 negative. SSEAl -pos i t i ve tumors were composed of both immunoreactive and nonreact ive tumor cells. These data show that SSEA1, initially def ined as a mouse embryonic antigen, represents a heterogenet ic antigen present in many normal human tissues. It is retained on many but not all neoplast ic cells originating in these normal t issues and also appears on the surface of some tumor cells developing in SSEAl -nega t i ve tissues.

Examination of the immunohistochemical localization and gene expression by RT-PCR of the oxytocin receptor in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse testis

Objective(s): The aim of this study was to determine Oxytocin receptor (OTR) gene expression and localization in diabetic and non-diabetic mouse testes by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry, respectively. Materials and Methods: In this study, 18 male BALB/c mice (8–12 weeks old) were used and divided into three groups: diabetic, sham, and control. Streptozotocin (STZ) was applied to the diabetic g...

Study of Basement Membrane Type IV Collagen Appearance in the Brain Choroids Plexus of Mouse Fetuses

Introduction & Objective: The brain choroids plexus (BCP) plays an important role in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) production, but its characterization is still incomplete. Collagen type IV, is one of the most important proteins of basement membrane (BM) and extracellular matrix (ECM) of BCP. In the present study we investigated the differential period of type IV collagen in basement membrane...

Pancreatic Differentiation of Sox 17 Knock-in Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells in Vitro

The way to overcome current limitations in the generation of glucose-responsive insulin-producing cells is selective enrichment of the number of definitive endoderm (DE) progenitor cells. Sox17 is the marker of mesendoderm and definitive endoderm. The aim of the present research was to study the potential of Sox17 knock-in CGR8 mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells to differentiate into insulin produ...

بررسی بیان ژن Tsga10 در فرایند تمایز سلول‌های بنیادی جنینی موشی به سلول‌های ژرمینال در محیط آزمایشگاهی

Background: About 15% of couples have fertility problems and male factor in fertility accounts for half of the cases. In vitro generation of germ cells introduces a novel approach to male infertility and provides an effective system in gene tracking studies, however many aspects of this process have remained unclear. We aimed to promote mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs) differentiation into ge...
